FEELING SORRY FOR YOUR LAWN TECHNICIAN?

What do you mean?

Almost every homeowner today uses a “chemical” lawn care service.  They want to come home from  work and see  that their lawn is  super green, thick, and weed free (See Lawn Obsession).

Do you know what it takes to create this artificial, super green lawn? Well it takes alot, and I mean alot of chemicals  and pesticides to do so.  The lawn tech will apply synthetic fertilizers. Which in itself is not deemed hazardous to your lawn tech, except for synthetic “Fertilizer dust” they breath in. (Studies on this are just beginning. Only time will tell that this “dust” is hazardous).  What is hazardous  is that almost all of this high nitrogen fertilizers will end up in our lakes & streams to pollute them. (Studies do show only 35% actually stays in the lawn. The remaining 65% is what ends up to pollute!

Your lawn tech will spray every inch of your lawn (Called “Blanket” spraying) with Herbicides (For weed control) Pesticides (For insect control) and Fungicides (for Disease control) All of the “Spray Mist”  will be breathed into or absorbed through our skin.  All of these “Pesticides” are deemed hazardous to anyone especially your lawn tech!  Almost all pesticides used today to make you this beautiful super green, weed free lawn,  are “Suspected” to be carsigenions!  Keep in mind, that your lawn tech will spray these pesticides every day, 5-6 times a week, and be on the homeowners lawns 8-10 hours per day!

Do you know that when they fill up their trucks with these pesticides each morning, that “By” Law” they must wear protective clothing, rubber gloves and especially resporators. But when they leave, their bosses make them remove these items as their apperance would probably scare the heck out of their customers!

So the next time you see your lawn tech servicing your lawn, or when you pay your bill, Thank him! for within  a decade or so, he will probably be suffering from some sort of cancer! But he made your lawn green! (Fact: 95% of all “retired” Golf course  superintendents have prostate cancer)!

Ever see a commerical “chemical” lawn care truck? They have pictures of Dogs or children on their trucks  giving the impression that they’re children and pet friendly (e.g. Neigborhood friendly) What a joke! By law your lawn tech must put up a “posted sign”  which warns all to stay off  the lawn for 24 hours.  Why? If their service is safe?   Still don’t believe all this?  Still don’t believe me? Did you know that constant exposure to pesticides affects men’s reproductive organs? How many of these lawn Tech’s may not be able to have children!  But your lawn will be green!
