100% ORGANIC LAWN CARE PROGRAM

First off, There is no one program that can improve all lawn problems or conditions.  Most  chemical lawn care services only offer one program. It usually consists of a simple weed & feed program  that will improve most lawns for the short term, but over time numerous problems will set in which will end up costing you more money and aggravation. Their program only feeds the grass and does nothing for the soil.

Our program is 100% organic, with no chemical fertilizers or pesticides used. Our program is for homeowners who are very concerned for the health of their family and pets as well as the concern of polluting our environment. In essence, this will create for you a SMART YARD!  (See creating a Smart Yard ) .

Note:  The treatments applied are a combination of organic granular & liquid products

Step #1:  A complete soil test (see soil test)

Round #1 (The spring treatment) 3/15-5/10:  This treatment consists of:
Corn Gluten to start  the control of crabgrass and some weeds. Low nitrogen organic fertilizers will feed your grass and increase the green color slowly. Over a period of 4-6 weeks, this treatment will start to loosen hard compacted soils, improve your soil deficiencies, and will thicken your lawn. (Note: will only thicken your lawn if your lawn contains spreading grasses such as Kentucky bluegrass or fescues. It will not thicken large bare areas or thicken heavy shaded areas. Seeding may be needed.)   See seeding. No natural weeds are applied with this treatment .  See weed control.

Round #2 (The late spring treatment) 5/1-6/31: This treatment consists of:
High nitrogen organic fertilizers which will rapidly green up and feed your lawn for the next 4-6 weeks. It will continue to loosen and improve your soil, and start to reduce any thatch build-up.  (as per your soil test).  Full natural weed controls will be applied as needed.

Round #3 (The Summer treatment) 7/1-8/31:   This treatment consists of:
Low nitrogen organic fertilizers which will slowly feed your grass,  continue to reduce any thatch build-up, and natural weed & crabgrass controls are applied as needed.  Note:  No weed or crabgrass controls will be applied if lawns are drought stressed or temperatures are over 90 degrees).

Round #4 (The fall treatment) 8/15-10/31:  This treatment consists of:
High organic nitrogen fertilizer which will rapidly green up & feed your lawn over the next 4-6 weeks, continue to improve your soil, reduce any thatch build-up.  Full natural weed &crabgrass controls are applied as needed.

Round #5 (The late fall treatment) 10/15-12/15:   This treatment consists of:
An organic fertilizer low in nitrogen but high in potash & phosphorus which will “winterize” your lawn, to protect against winter kill or snow mold fungus, increase root mass.

A lawn treated with organics may take a little longer to improve a lawn, but  will make for a stronger, healthier lawn.   Anyone can make a cosmetic lawn. Just use green paint!

This program is for homeowner who wants faster results and has little tolerance for weeds.  It is not all organic!  It’s more like 20% chemicals 80% organic. After 3 years the customer than can switch to a fully organic program.  This program is excellent for homeowners who had used a chemical lawn service recently. It is a transition program to ween the lawn off the excessive chemicals that were used in the past.  Most chemical lawn services offer this type program to appease their customers. But they’re 90% chemical 10% organic.  They’re told it’s an organic program, it is not!
Round #1 (The spring treatment) 3/15-5/10:  This treatment consists of:  Organic fertilizers to improve your grass & soil. Chemical “Pre-Emergent” for crabgrass control. Weed controls as needed.

Round #2 (The late spring treatment) 5/1-6/31: This treatment consists of: Organic fertilizers to improve your grass & soil. Weed controls as needed.

Round #3 (The Summer treatment) 7/1-8/31:   This treatment consists of: Organic fertilizers to slowly feed your grass & soil.  Weed & crabgrass controls as needed.

Round #4 ( The Fall Treatment)  8/15-10/31; This treatment consists of a Higher nitrogen organic fertilizer to feed your grass more heavily  to speed up recovery for any summer damage. Weed and crabgrass controls applied as needed.

Round #5 (The late fall treatment) 10/15-12/15:   This treatment consists of an a organic fertilizer low in nitrogen but high in potash & phosphorus which will “winterize” your lawn, to protect against winter kill or snow mold fungus.
