Our society today is rush, rush, rush!  It seems everybody wants everything done fast. Everybody wants instant gratification.  Perhaps, that’s why most homeowners prefer a “Chemical” lawn care service. The preconceived notion is “Organics are too slow”.  On the contrary! Mother nature is too slow.  When March arrives and “Spring is in the Air” homeowners begin to look at their lawns and what they see upsets them. The lawn is brown, thin & weak looking. They then call their lawn service to complain. Some think their lawn died over the winter and needs to be seeded.

Look the top picture, This homeowner called me because she was “shopping around” for a estimate to seed her “Winter killed” lawn. Her “Gardener”  and another professional lawn care service said it would cost $1,500.00-$2,000.00 dollars to seed her lawn. She thought the price was too high and wanted a third opinion.  I informed her that there was nothing wrong with her lawn!  It was just dormant still and would probably green up by Late April. Her Husband couldn’t believe it!  I then stated, “Look at your trees, they’re barren of leaves, are they dead too? They are also dormant! They will be full of foliage by May”.
They asked why their gardener and the other lawn services told them this? It was either because they didn’t know, lacked experience, or more likely, wanted their money! For being honest and saving her thousands of dollars, she hired my Organic lawn care service. After 2 treatments, she had a beautiful lawn again at a cost of $160.00 dollars. See picture at left.

I wonder each spring, how many thousands of homeowners are duped into spending money when they don’t need to. Every spring I get many calls from homeowners about seeding the lawn in the spring.  Seeding of your lawn in the spring is the BIGGEST MISTAKE MADE  (See Seeding).

You see, most homeowners know nothing about lawn care. They become easy prey from most Gardeners (Especially) and even from so
called “Professional” Lawn services. Encouraging service or treatments that they do not need. Because most homeowners are anxious to
get their lawn looking good, they do not let “Mother Nature” take her time. You believe what you see or what you read on the
T.V. Direct mail fliers etc. I tell you this from 35 years of experience.

1. Never, ever seed in the spring
2. Do not have your lawn “Core” aerated. It’s a waste of money and does not work.
3. Do not have your lawn detached. It too is a waste of your money and doesn’t work.
4. Do not treat your lawn for “Grubs” It’s also a waste of your money and only eliminates 10% of the grubs.
5.And most important:  GO ORGANIC! Either hire my service, or some other, because You cannot have a truly strong, healthy lawn using chemicals & pesticide!

Remember, I treated lawns with chemicals for at least 10 years. I can tell you from 35 years experience that lawns treated with Organics turn out far better, far stronger and of course, far safer. “Why would you want pesticides sprayed on your lawn with what we now know about these health & environment damaging pesticides ? Why? For the sake of a green lawn”?
